you dropped your keys on your way out. i picked them up, i followed you home. i watched you through your window, i was mesmorized. i knew it was wrong. i knocked on your door, i rang the bell. once. twice. you didn't answer. i knew you were there. i wonder why you didn't come. maybe you didn't hear, maybe you thought it was weird. i did. like some strange nightmare. and my head was spinning. but it was late. (maybe that was it.) i walked the city with your keys in my pocket. i felt them whack against my knees. i wanted to throw them into the river. i knew i had to give them back. the streetlights cast some eerie glow, but
